Location: Council Grove Pizza Hut

Date/Time: January 18, 2009 at 6:30 pm

Members present: Travis Richardson, Ray Switzer, JimmyWatson,Jr., Dale Everett, Trent Siegle, Karen Vondemkamp, Tim Vondemkamp, Kim Goracke, Frank Siegle, John Paul, Jason Jones, Tyson Powell

President Trent Siegle called the meeting to order. Members reviewed the financial statements prepared by the treasurer with special note given to the fact that the club still owes the city recreation department $2500 for the purchase of the targets. The first item of business was the discussion of the upcoming year's shooting schedule. It was decided to schedule each shoot for the first weekend of the month to try to avoid conflict with other club's shoot dates since there were many conflicts throughout the 2008 season.

The next order of business was the annual election of officers. Travis Richardson was nominated as president, Trent Siegle as vice president and Karen Vondemkamp as secretary/treasurer. With no other nominations made the slate of officers was accepted by a unanimous vote. Board positions were also filled with Ray Switzer, John Paul and Dale Everett returning to the board. They will be joined by Kim Goracke and Jason Jones as new board member each to serve a one year term.

February 28 was selected as a date to have the first work day at the range. It was proposed to look into cutting new lanes to change the course a bit from last year. A committee of Travis, Trent, Karen, Tim and Frank was created to look into plotting out new lanes and having them approved by city officials. Other work to be done included putting the ridge cap on the building, staining the bag target posts and deck of the building, making a white board to post outside of the building with information at each shoot, making another water jug stand, making more bow hangers, and painting the foam pieces to look like rocks to be used as backstops. It was also suggested that we look into getting more dirt to place behind targets as backstops. Frank said he would contact Ronnie Patterson to see if dirt being removed from the city lake could be brought out to the range.

Thought would also be given to purchasing new inserts for the larger targets that are needing to be replaced. This would depend on the amount of money brought in by the first few shoots.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
